Holdrege & Kull provided storm water monitoring and sampling services for Placer County Department of Facility Services during demolition of eight 1940s era structures. H&K worked closely with the environmental contractor during the course of the project to monitor storm water discharge from the site during the rainy season. Lead and asbestos abatement of the buildings was performed prior to physical demolition of the structures. H&K performed weekly, pre-, during, and post-storm inspections in addition to preparing Rain Event Action Plans (REAP) prior to precipitation events in accordance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction and Land Disturbance (CGP), Permit No. CAS000002, Order No. 2009-0009-DWQ.
