Dry Creek Fire Station – Roseville, CA

At the request of the Placer County Department of Facility Services, Holdrege & Kull performed a geotechnical investigation for the proposed apparatus bay addition to the existing Dry Creek Fire Station on Cook Riolo Road. The subsurface investigation involved drilling two soil borings near the proposed building addition and coring at locations on the edge of Cook Riolo Road to assess existing pavement and subgrade conditions. H&K performed laboratory testing to determine the engineering properties of onsite soil and prepared a geotechnical engineering report, which provided design criteria, earthwork recommendations for site improvements, and pavement recommendations for Cook Riolo Road to meet the design traffic index. H&K also provided special inspection and materials testing services during project construction
