H&K’s services included construction observation and testing during landslide mitigation, and construction management and resident engineering services during the construction of two retaining structures on the steeply sloping sitesoldrege & Kull provided engineering support services to the contractor installing a proprietary, hybrid rock fall protection barrier selected by Caltrans for locations above the busy Interstate 80 corridor in the Sierra Nevada. Engineering services included engineering review of the barrier components, selection and sizing of anchors to provide necessary tensile capacity in variably weathered volcanic materials, and anchor testing during construction.
