Holdrege & Kull provided geotechnical engineering consultation, materials testing, and construction observation services during development of Phases 3A and 3B of this trail project. Phase 3A, performed in 2010, included constructing approximately 4,000 lineal feet of new Class I multi-use trail between Riverview Sports Park and an overlook just west of the Truckee Tahoe Sanitary Agency’s wastewater treatment plant. Phase 3B was constructed between 2013 and 2015 and included the construction of approximately 11,600 lineal feet of new Class I trail between the east end of Phase 3A and Glenshire Drive. Appurtenant construction included rockery walls, retaining walls, rock slope protection, safety railing installation, and a truss bridge. H&K provided engineering consultation, earthwork observation, and materials testing (concrete, asphalt concrete, and soil compaction) during trail construction.
